Huge thanks to Debbie Fisher for hosting the AMS at her private property today! It’s so late in the season but that didn’t stop folks from coming out, quickly filling the foray to max capacity.
We were thrilled to find any fruiting fungi at all under all those leaves! Many dried hanging fungi were found squirrelled away.
Several giant Cortinarius (of course..if you’ve been to one of my forays you’ll know how I feel about these ?) ), Russula of different hues ranging from red to purple and green, Peziza, inocybe, A. xanthodermus, Scutellinia scutellata, and of course Armillaria were all found! There’s many more..but that’s enough binomial spelling for one post..
Everyone present received that all important honey mushroom lesson getting them one step closer to being confident when out alone in future.
Thanks to all who attended for the fun times!
Mush love and full baskets to you all!
Thanks Lena Wieczorek for all the pictures without you there would be none!
This was my first foray and I loved it! I already spend hours in the forests & bush & have always wanted to learn about mycology. Everyday I want to go out, need more knowledge!!!! Can’t wait until the next one!
Thank you!!!!
